A BIT OF VELVET AND A DASH OF LACE

OOHHHH... The mailman, John , who happens to be my neighbor across the road just delivered my copy of the book A Bit of Velvet and a Dash of Lace by Robin Brown of Interiors of Magnolia Pearl... I have only had it in my hands for photo and opened one page and feel in love with the book... I have a very important lunch date here in a hour and a half and I just want to have the time to indulge in the book.... I am meeting a group of girlfriends that were classmates for lunch... The one classmate Jane I see quite often as she stayed in the area as I did but her twin sister did not and I haven't seen her for 49 years and she is going to be there... She is home visiting her sister and the reason for the get- together... I am so looking forward to that... Then as soon as I am finished witht he gathering... I must run to Chief Supermarket and pick up TBone Steaks... Every so often they have a hugh special on them and today is the day. We buy them and place them in the freezer whenever we see the ad for the special... They are 4.99 a pound and always just wonderful.... THEN.... I rush home get those lucious Tbones in the coolness and we were invited to another gathering of a bunch of friends... down the road for chili... snacks and a drink or two.... THEN.... The deep on my mind hot bath... ozzing with vanilla scented bath oil and my book by Robin placed on my bathtub reading rack and lean back in pure delight.... That sounds like a very nice rest of a day... Life is good....PS. I won't be getting into my little cami like above however... I will catch a chill as our weather has taken a turn and become quite nippy...Afraid it will be more like jammies and a throw....
