Do You Ever Think Of Me... Yesterdays Whispers

I am absolutely taken with yesterdays whispers of vintage and just like this old lovely piece of sheet music.... "Do You Ever Think Of Me?" Yes... when it come to vintage and timeworn I am always thinking of how I can give new life to these objects. Vintage and timeworn have really become a junkers dream the past few years. The workmanship just fuels one's passion to re purpose these objects... Rescued or dis-stressed items, salvaging buttons, beading, trims, for other purposes can be inspiring for creating unique one of a kind keepsakes ... Training the eye to isolate these find can be a real bonus to you. For many years I purchased items for a retail store at large gift marts and I certainly call myself a scanner. My eye moves quickly { certainly allot quicker than my body of late} seeking out my favorite color of pink and in hues of Ivory's, stained, lattes ,whites ect... { I never seem to be drawn to reds... blues.... purples.... ect....} Rhinestones and crystals ... all that glitters and patinas attract my interest instantly.... I am drawn to time-worn and aged paper and books, sheet music... I love... love.. old paper with the graceful handwritten pen and ink art of another time.... They instantly take me to another time... It's like a short vacation from the hussel and bussel of this time . Searing for you vintage items are best if completed at your own pace... In many cases , this is the sole reason why I usually like to be a " Loner" and shop my myself... Being a scanner I am usually allot faster than the next person, and heaven forbid if you would be with someone and you both fall in love with the same object at the same time.... I do not like to shop for hours and usually if I hit one or possible two shoppes I have had my fix... I want to have a enjoyable time not make a job out of it....
