Mornings In Retirement

Mornings... I do so know this doesn't apply to many of you... you can take a lovely retreat on a day off however.... An unhurried and elegant setting ... can take you to a new level of pleasure... especially this time of year when you may want to enjoy your outdoor space....

Making the setting call for china, keeping the mood light but a formal look... Floral pattern must appear on pillow covers, cloths, vintage tray or plate. This adds the touch of romance I personally desire and you can almost smell it in the air.... Flowers are always a way of adding charm and the delicate light perfume desires. Luminous also delights the senses.... Do you have the morning free? Oh the misty mornings, gently burned away with the warming sun, followed by a soft breeze... What a lovely way to start your day. Like a long forgotten voice... lovely summer ask nothing more of us than to come out to play... Have a plan for a lovely morning soon. Don't make the choice of a restaurant, but rather a area whether it be a porch, deck or a patio or a simple charming area of your home... There may not be a better time to take a deep breathe and appreciate beauty in a whole different light.

Marietta,

I just love this post!!! I have the summers off and do this very thing. I use pretty rose bedecked dishes and sometimes have breakfast on the porch and sometimes inside. I always brew a pot of loose leaf tea and enjoy it long after breakfast is over. Your discription of the morning is so beautiful! Although I am not a morning person per se, I feel that mornings are the most beautiful part of the day:).

Marvelous post!

Blessings,

Kim

What a lovely post and a lovely blog. Just came across your blog and thought I'd leave a comment. =)What a great idea for all of us to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, such as having a picnic outside to enjoy the beauty of summer.

Hi Marietta!

I don't think I have ever visited your blog until now -but first, let me say, how much I love your photo of yourself. And how much I love that you have more life experience than most blogger that I come across - I like that about you!!

Your post today is really a good one - as I read it, it was raining and I could hear it hit the window of my home office. The house is quiet and I have so much to do (and should be doing) but your post reminded me to sit, be quiet, and really hear the rain and how nice it was to be able to do that.

I will visit your blog again - I scrolled through your old posts and I like your view on life - and so glad your son is getting better. I know how you feel - my older brother, who would be 59 (he passed away in 1998, but not from a motorcycle accident) rode motorcycles all the time. He had 13 pretty serious accidents over his lifetime. He was sort of like an old cat who had more than nine lives! haha - boys will be boys and Mark, my brother, loved his bikes. So glad your "boy" is getting better.

Take care,
Elizabeth
