undesirable" object?? I personally think it is a great gift to have vision to see beauty in this object... Through these gifted eyes we find many wonderful friends and people... The gift to look beyond.... How many times have we been
deceived by a well dressed person,
reeking with jewels and found sincerity in someone not a s well designed.... The expensive can be a rocky- love affair while the timeworn with stands.....

Wonderful post sweet Marietta...and it's so amazing to me what one person sees a trash...another just adores, and I believe that would be ME!!! I've even asked antique dealer friends to please save me their trash...single earrings with no mate, stained embroidered linens or even books falling apart ~ I love them all!!! Such truth in your words...
As such it's often a challenge to get others to see what you are trying to do. I can't tell you how often someone catches me in the middle of a project and gives me "the look". You know the one, the look that says " What in the world is that?" And yet when I am done , more often then not they are amazed at the end results.
Good thing not everyone can see the potential , otherwise there wouldn't be an junk to be found.
