Sunday Afternoon Guests

As promised I wanted to share the tag I completed yesterday.... The size you can tell by the dinner plate it is displayed on... I want to make a couple more this week....
I only have a few minutes to post today as we are having guests today... Tom's son Todd and his family are coming in about a hour... I have been preparing a small luncheon for us to share later... When you open your door for guests you should also be opening your hearts to them... I have been baking a old fashion picnic ham.... baked beans... mac and cheese casserole.... relishes.... cherry pie and chocolate chip cookies.... chips and snacks and a small candy bar on the table.... It isn't fabulous... but it is the kind -giving way you present it that matters in my eyes. My main thought is for Tom to be able to spend time with his family he doesn't get to spend much time with as they live several hours away in Indy.It is the thought that matters most... family and laughter and sharing of stories are always welcome.... Years past I would have been over whelmed with it all but now I do the best I can in the time allowed and try to enjoy....

Opps .... times up.... Todd and Tom are here.... home from golfing...

Another lovely card Marietta! Spending time with family is great especially when we do not get to see them that often. Hope you have a wonderful time!

Wow, what an awesome menu you whipped up there! Mmm. The lunch sounds fantastic. I'm sure your guests will feel special. I know I would. And now that you got all of the hard work done, you can just kick back and enjoy your guests. =)
