Cool Air Please

Well I think this is going to be my way of pamper .... Tom came home from golfing and I ask him if I could have the air conditioner up from storage... Bless him, he went and got the job done immediately.. 2 years ago I purchased one of the portable air conditioner or heating units for our home that I have pictured above. We do not have central air and I just don't do well at all with the heat.... We had a window made that will vent this out the window temporarily and it is working well. This unit is 12000 BTU cool and 9500 BTU hot.. It will keep my living room and my kitchen cool... so at least I can find a cool area... We have a panel sliding door in the kitchen that I can close off that part of the house and I made a long plastic curtain I place in the hallway to close off that end.. It is not pretty but it works when you suffer with heat....
I also just put up my screen house for over my large umbrella and chairs on the deck where we eat our meals. Last night we had prepared a lovely meal and the flies were so awful we just couldn't enjoy it at all. I don't know if you have seen the little screen houses over you umbrella , but they do work. We can sit out in the evening and not be bothered also. It has a full length two way zipper for getting in and out and is a little hard when your hands are full but worth it all when you are in there and the pests are outside..... ok... I have to run again as I was out in the garden gathering some sweet corn for dinner along with some brats... Tonight I have the green beans, ham and potatoes I prepared yesterday.... Oh my the room is nice and cool and I am loving it.....
