Oh No... More pillows

My plan was to have the pictured pillows completed yesterday but I ended up knee high in sweet corn instead... As I ventured out to the garden yesterday morning I had in mind sweet corn and side pork and sliced tomatoes for dinner.... I started to pick the corn that I thought to be ready and all of a sudden I had a good bushel full... Giving some to Trish and her family { Tom's daughter} I still found myself with much to do... Out came the large kettles and 4 boiling kettles later filled to the brim with corn, it was cooling and cutting time.... Course it was then time to cool the body down so a jump in the pool was needed... The water is very cool... Our nights in this area have been getting down in the 50's... It has been a very different summer here... I understand we are suppose to get in the 90's this weekend ... which I am not liking as our church festival is this weekend and it is very hard on the people who come to enjoy and especially hard on all the workers.... We will take what we are given and pray for a successful festival as this is our main source for a money maker throughout the year.... Back to the pillows.... The pillows are made from dish towels... I first saw the dish towels on FiFi's blog and she had shared where to purchase the towels... If you want to know that info you can go back on her earlier posts and get that info ... She also has the pillows she made featured many times in her photos ....I will let you go there and obtain the info as the talent of this woman is much greater than any I can possibly share with you.... Her blog is http://fabulousfifi.typepad.com One of the pillows will be going with me to the craft booth at the festival.... It will be the little square one with the more modest tag.... I will keep the not so modest flapper tag for myself..... Have you noticed I had added that little touch of French again.... I really have noticed I am becoming very drawn to adding just a touch of french to my vintage and antique....
I must pull and tug myself away from the computer as much as possible for a few hours..... Today I must clean some areas of my home... I don't want to be having to do it when the 90 degree weather comes.... I will be wanting to be wet then.... I have several chores to complete for the festival and pies to bake on Saturday.. One for church and Saturday night we have a "hoe down" barn party at the neighbors across the road... They have a large number of people invited and everyone is to bring a dish and then dance all that great food off. I understand there will be a couple hundred people there... We won't have to worry about parking and driving... Just walking across the road... Wishing you all a very pleasant day filled with everyday blessings.... Enjoy.....
