Back in the spring issue of Romantic Homes magazine I found myself to be a sweet romantic when taking their test. It said I hunt for one of a kind treasures and don't mind digging for finds. { in fact I love digging through things at thrift stores} Mix vintage pieces. { true} Use soft colors letting finds speak for themselves. I did find I was a bit of a bold romantic when I like adding glam with rhinestones and jewelry. I have also been noticing I have been leaning toward adding some french with my vintage. If I could start { only in my dreams} over with a new home and palette, I would love to have more french, I think it works with some vintage and shab. When not having tons of money { that's me ok } I still believe small objects can make a big impact. It's all about the presentation... Always the music and candles are a sweet treats. On my lists... always are rhinestones...baubles...white linens and anything with the right bling...chic finds... and buttons always make me true to myself.
I have pictured today another pillow that was made from a scrap of the Victorian clothing, a rhinestone button and a stained tag I made... I have also shown a little clock with pink rhinestones.... I would like to find about 5 clocks for a vignette and a footed mirror or silver try to place them on... Still in the thought and search process ....
Moving on to this afternoon.... I am off to purchase groceries { I don't enjoy doing this } and getting my supplies the church requested for the festival coming this Sunday.{ My daughter will be coming down to St. Mike's for the festival , making it a nice opportunity to visit with her.} I also have to get poly to finished stuffing my pillows I have made. It does look a but like rain later. Finding we are in August and some kids are already back in school { Dawn said Noah is back in school} and the fairs are happening makes me wonder where was summer??? Wishes for a blessed and peaceful day all. I am off to do some work and projects.... Enjoy yourself......

I like the vintage clocks with rhinestones. I've seen some in an antique shop in Lilburn, Ga and they were sweet! I really like your idea of displaying them-you'll have to post a picture once you put it together:).

I agree with you. It's all about detail. And the stuff that gives you detail doesn't have to be costly.
