Making Memories Warm.......

I hope you all had a nice weekend... In our area yesterday the sun never appeared once but we were able to play the mixed couples scramble with only a few sprinkles on our head before it rained some. Today it is grey and gloomy with the forecast being pretty much that way for this week.... I do hope you all were able to make some memories during the holiday weekend however.... Sharing of time with friends and family..... Tom and I was able to enjoy a couple feasts on the deck and visit with his brother Paul and his wife Bonnie.... Tom spend much of his time on the golf course and I spent mine at home.....but that is where I am the most comfortable and happiest... Mealtime is a time for sharing, and for peace, a moment of the day when we celebrate each other and should be a special gift of nourishment.... Even if you live alone you can make it special by lighting a candle and setting a pretty table .... doing this will make it well worth the effort.... The only requirement for making life more beautiful is a little bit of extra effort...Always try to make the conversation uplifting, not putting each other down. These make the time special and make warm memories and warm memories bring smiles when we've have shared food and refuge in our own private spaces...I truly believe the key to happiness at home is to treat yourself as if you are a guest there... This can be achieved with very little effort...... Make it special... after all this is where the real work and enjoyment of living goes on..... Wishes for a wonderful week ahead to be ejoyed by all........

Sounds like you had a nice long weekend. We did too! Now I wait for the frost & freeze so we can clean up the gardens while they sleep for the winter!

What a nice weekend you had Marietta. I love home too. My roots run deep and I am not much of a traveler except for a day or two at a time. Have a lovely day today!
Blessings~
