SENSES

One of the most intimate senses, the sense of touch..... This can involve the heart as we as the hand.... It seems unmistakable the season is definitely changing as I sit and post the morning air is very thick and heavy after the rain through the night.... The crops and grasses are heavy with the morning dew... We are suppose to warm up a great deal today.... You can feel it.... the season is changing and heading toward a magical time.... Our hearts start to sense the changes approaching us... It conjures memories of how we believe things should be... dazzling and decked out... I think as we travel into the month of October our hearts start to beat some-what faster.... We start to think about travel and warmth.... as we up North face the coming of "Winters White Spectacular Beauty"..... We will be thinking about a hot cup of cocoa in our hand replacing our spiced apple cider and toasting marshmallows in a couple short weeks....
The trees are sensing the the season change and small amounts of them are starting their gentle journey to the ground.... Soon a roaring fire will be bringing a crackling sound and comfort and ambiance to our homes.... I have just placed a couple throws on my living room furniture for use as our evenings put on their chill. Vegetation from our garden is now done for us and we have once again tilled the soil for another time. The acorn squash that was the last in the garden was gathered for stuffing with brown sugar and butter and baking and my parsley is needing to be harvested for winter making of soups and other soothing winter dishes..... Food that was in over abundance for everyday use has been preserved... Taking center stage right now, the dried hydrangeas, plumes from our fancy grasses and berries...... soon to be graced with glitter and sparkle... Mother nature will be creating a winter wonderland.... for our senses to see and to feel. Once again , change to make us rejuvenate and once again to inspire...
The lamplighter was required to turn the lights on much , much, earlier last evening as the days have become much shorter... all allowing our senses to enjoy the evening into the night in a different light... Once again, as the season change... the possibilities to warm the details of your life and home start to become endless...
Enjoy your sense of feel and reach out and touch a fellow blogger, friend or family with a warm comment or gesture as we approach a cooler season.... Enjoy your blessing of the sense of touch, and feel the rewards offered back when you do so.....
Ps. If you haven't done so yet please place a comment on my give-a-way on the last post.......

Hi Marietta,
A question about drying my hydranges, the ones in the picture on my blog header. They are in front of my porch, I love the privacy they offer. If I wanted to dry them, do I need to do it now or can I wait a little longer? What is the best way to dry them?
We are going to Cedar Point with our kids on Sat. so I hope to make it to the red barn on Sunday. In regards to your post Fall is such a magical time in NW ohio. Thanks for sharing!
:)
Blessings~
