Candles

Ancient Romans lit candles to ward off evil and to convience the sun to shine again... Candles were often placed in windows during the season as a sign to those passing by that shelter and warmth cound be found within...In our day today we have loving and many many types and scents of candles to choose from... I love the burning of candles and the lovely scent and the flickering glow while burning.... My favorite scent of many years is simple vanilla and love the latte scents... I find myself not caring for the floral scents but love all the kitchen scents also.... Do you have a favorite????

Now Marietta how did you do that?? Looks like little tiny snowflakes falling down on your site. I love it. So pretty!! Love the candle pictures also.

I love mulled cider candles for the fall (or pumpkin spice). I like the fresh linen or rose candles in the summer, but otherwise mostly kitchen scents too. I do love a good pear candle too.

Blessings~

I am sad to say I do not burn candles because we have 3 VERY active little kitties!! Candles & cats just don't work!
Loved the vintage card graphics!!
Have a Wonderful Weekend!

When I was younger I was all for the floral scents, but now I find many of them too cloying. I love vanilla and cinnamon scents. I love Yankee Candles Home Sweet Home ~ that smells of cinnamon and tea (no wonder I like it!). One exception to florals is Yankee Candles Fresh Cut Roses which I love in the summertime.

Love how candles create such a calming ambience. I can stare at one burning for hours, much like a glowing fireplace. Unfortunately, I have an aversion to anything chemically scented. I physically start to choke. So unless the candle has natural scents from pure essences, I prefer a plain beeswax or soy candle. It is a pity, because there are so many kinds of scented candles I miss out on. Love your postcards that you show here on your blog. So pretty.
