Plan A Lovely Evening Or Two

I am off this morning to go to the Festival Of The Trees Christmas Tea with two of my friends Pat and Kay...... then this afternoon it's the Ohio State and Michigan game and Tom and I leave about 3:30 to go to Indiana for him to stand up for his grandson's confirmation.... and then out to eat... Quite a fun day and a different change of pace from my everyday life....
If you don't, take the time and plan a evening or two with loved ones.... Please do as there is nothing can be lovelier than a evening spent with a travel cup of hot chocolate and a drive to your favorite locations and take in all the twinkling lights displayed at homes .... Sometimes I have to come to a complete stop and truly window peer into a lovely decorated home in lovely neighborhoods... I love the Victorian homes all dressed for the holidays.... I can't think of a more peaceful and lovely way to spend a evening... Many times I would love to walk up to a home, knock, and say "may I come in?" My blogging friends invite me in .... how divine.........

Beautiful, Marietta! I love those evenings, too--just perfect! I just LOVE this time of year!

Lovely suggestion. Another great thing about viewing all the neighborhood decorations is that it is free. With so much of our holidays being commercialized, I look for ways to take advantage of seasonal opportunites in our community, such as tree lightings. Have a fun day, especially at the Confirmation which is such a blessed event.

Marietta-

Looks like you have quite a day planned! Enjoy it all. I, too, would love to stop at the decorated Victorian homes and go in for a visit! I've been on many Christmas House Walks where I get to do just that!

Thank you for your inspirational posts.

Marietta, this is a beautiful post. It's a lovely idea that we could walk up to a stranger's door and be invited in to look at homes we admire. I agree that our blog friends do exactly that; isn't it wonderful? After all, strangers are just friends we haven't met yet :-) Enjoy your lovely weekend!

Wouldn't that be wonderful to walk up to a beautifully decorated home and invite yourself in? There are so many of them, and I too, love the the old Victorian's when they are all dressed up!~Patti
