Before and After

I promised to share my oatmeal box with you from my cookie baking last week.... I scrapped and completed it yesterday afternoon and it will most likely be gifted out with cookies or candy as a small gift to a friend.... Tom had collected what seems to be hundreds of guest soaps from staying in motels his trucking career and I have many I have started wrapping in old book pages ... They could be gifted also...
The box I have in the last picture was a gift from Hickory Farms we received for Christmas... The box was so strong I hated to toss it so I scrapped it also.... You see if you live at my house you get embellished..... I think I have too much time on my hands and think of a way something could still be enjoyed.... If we look at items in a different way many times they can turn out to be something very special......

I just love them both Marietta!!!! You wouldn't even know what they were! Isn't it so rewarding though to take something that would normally be thought of as trash and transform it into something beautiful?? Have a wonderful week sweet friend, hugs and love, Dawn

Your creations are always beautiful but that oat meal box is wonderful!!! I cover tins and cookie boxes for gifts. It is fun to reuse an item and make it so special.
Have a Beautiful week

Hi Marietta

I have saved the last two containers just because I couldn't throw them away. Sound familiar. Now I know what I am going to do with them. Also have a couple of smaller nut cans that are round and would also work. Yours turned out beautifully. I had thought of keeping them for shipping small items and what a way to send them. Two gifts in one. I have added you to my list and really enjoy your blog. It is an everyday read for me now.
