Aged Book Page Flower

This turned out to be a great embellishment... I took a couple aged book pages and free hand cut little petals as in illustration... I cut a few smaller ones for top to form center....I did fold these down the center to make stand up .... I started out with a little square cinnamon tag ... which if I do this again I will just use a regular cinnamon grudge tag with the string already attached for gift wrapping... I was just playing with this one... I do believe you need a piece of paper or cardboard to catch the glue as you do glue allot.First I added a small doily to cinnamon square to make base... Then added aged paper petals gluing one by one and shaping into flower as I glued... I layered several and added a old vintage lace strip.. added more petals and at the top added another lace strip and a old vintage earring for the center....How sweet this would be on a embellished box... or just sitting or a wonderful embellishment on a gift wrapped in brown paper or pages.... This took me just a matter of minutes to create and was a fun project... No stress...
I seem to adorn most of my projects with book pages aged to perfection... They have so much appeal to my taste... Certainly knowing this is not for everyone... I still love gathering objects discarded from others... My love of old aged book pages just seem to grow and grow... It does seem as though everything I embellish has pages included... This little project turned out to be no exception....

Good Morning Marietta Sweetie...
Oh my goodness this is just so beautiful. I love this little flower that you created from the aged pages.

You could even pink the edges as you cut to give it a textured look. I wonder what it would look like if you added a flower cut from tulle in between each layer. Play with this, as it sure is pretty.

You could even add a little glitter to the edges of the petals to match the broche in the middle. I love the broche in the middle it is so beautiful. Just beautiful. I love it. Thank you so much for sharing with me today.

Have a beautiful Friday sweetie. Country hugs...Sherry
