Finding A Few Treasures

For several days now I have been starting to sort through my home... Combing and organizing and figure I have about a month of it to go... It does take quite a period of time... sorting and pricing....and boxing.... I am in a mood to let a large amount of item go and just get organized instead of when I open my cupboards and closets ... yell "timber"... I have found a few treasures that will remain with me but I am willing to let many go... I remember finding a year or so ago these old, old, embellishments and tucked them in my pie safe drawer and forgot about them until now... I know not what I will use them for but I have added them to my old stuff embellishment board for now... I actually love the look of the old embellishments in the very old picture frame... I believe these are from the Victorian era ... if not they are very old.... So I will hang on to these small treasures...Don't you just love that belt buckle???? I also have a picture of a bud vase arrangement I have added one of the enamel little numbers given to me by Tracey... It's sweet....

PS I am also trying to sort and I have piles for garage sale, giveaway and my booth. Sometimes it gets quite overwhelming!

Oh Marietta I love your frame!! And the vase with the number on it looks neat too. I think I need to make a frame like that, but then I also have to figure out where I would hang it. :)

Love all your little things in the picture frame. I was looking for something to do on my sewing room walls. I think old sewing items tucked in a frame might just be the thing. Thanks for the clever idea. Stella

Hi Marietta, I love your display! I have a vintage frame just about exactly like yours and it has been waiting to be put to use. I have added this to my list of things to do...Thanks! Gerry

Looks so nice in the old frame! It's hard for me to go thru ALL MY STUFF...so it's hanging around for now!
Have fun digging thru the treasures.

I love the old picture frame with your treasures, Marietta. So beautiful! I guess it is that "organizing" time of year....I should take a cue from you!

Oh my, I have so very many things I should sort through also but it is pretty overwhelming because of the sheer volume of it all. Ridiculous to have so much stuff (all thrifted and bought for tiny amounts). Anytime I do try to sort, I discover things I've forgotten I had and fall in love with them all over again!

I do really love the numbers and clock faces you recently won. Now until I started my blog a few months ago, I had no idea those were cool collectibles - now I'm crazy about them! Don't have any, but I love 'em...

I love your embellishment board. You have a knack for finding the prettiest treasures.
I have a bulletin board I covered with fabric and pin to it all sorts of pretties ~ fabric, pictures, lace anything that is lovely to look at.
Thanks for sharing yours.
