Not So Lavish... Embellish

I so appreciate someone with personal style and finding the inspiration to fulfill it... Throughout my years in design I must admit I struggled with days when I would design something I knew was totally wrong but customers would insist on it... Those I called my " do ugly" days... and we difficult to struggle through... It was always much more pleasure when you were trusted as a professional and I do admit most customers were that way... I always tried little suggestions when I thought someone was going a stray... So many people are gifted and can see the finish product in their minds... Most of the time I can but once in awhile I end up like the movie " Top Gun" and crash and burn... For me your home is like a candy store... can you think of anything more exciting.... I love homes filled with cheap junk made to look like chocolate covered candies... Yum... Rust and crystal... Extra sugar coated....
Resourceful is another very large gift... and one I appreciate the very most... Through this creations just flow... I know that through personal experience... just cause you haven't acquired all kinds of money in life ... certainly does not mean you can't enjoy and have nice and beautiful things to your eye... and surrounding you... We should also be smart enough to learn to enjoy the things we do have and not always be on the search for more... I am sure most of us have layer after layer already surrounding us... Use it and experience it... If it is not quite as lavish as you would care for ... embellish it !!!!

So wonderfully put Marietta. I don't know what I would do with a lot of money because I love finding treasures that cost mere pennies and I am very content. Have a beautiful day!!
Blessings~

Yes,you are RIGHT... most of us have way too much "stuff"...but it does not keep us from the hunt...I don't think.

I seldom purchase things...but when I do..it's usually somthing I have to save up for.
while out shopping in the regular stores..( Tues. Morning Inc, Hobby Lobby, Michaels) ..my friends always remark.."aren't you going to buy ANYTHING Rose ?"
I love our home and am mostly content with the way it looks...but after 11 years of the very same things on the walls ....and such.. I do like to get something "new"...but is MUST be antique or look "antique". PERIOD.
