Electric Lights

Hello... The time we spend without electrical power can become stressful... I woke up this morning about 1:30 A.M. to find our home without power... It makes for instant panic when your water removal pump back up system fails... Within a hour and fifteen minutes Tom was on the bucket brigade ....[ not a pleasant task at 3:00 A.M. in the morning].... I immediately reported the outage from my cell phone and sortly after a two hour span out power was regained... The candles were lit in the night from main floor to basement to be able to move around... What a wonderful feeling when your lovely lamps lite up and you are not resorting to the third picture for a light source.. I love candles but for ambiance .... Tom is off this very moment in town to purchase a generator as we narrowly escaped what could have been a very large problem... I am so thankful we were able to avoid that... I have some mopping to do as I end this post as some spills were made... We are suppose to drop in temps and our lovely weather is gone for a few days... Blessings to all.

OOhhhh....that does not sound like fun....glad you're getting a back up generator...that really takes the stress out of things!

and I agree...candles are great for setting a mood, but to rely on them solely for light, yikes!!!!

When we loose power we still have our water & flushing abilities but we can not use the hot water. We don't loose it very often but it is frustrationg when we do!!

I hate it when we loose electricity. After Katrina it was 2 weeks before the power came back.
I am glad you were able to get things up and running again. A generator is such a good idea ~ its a "must have" down here!

Oh! darling sorry to hear about your modern troubles. Candles not only set the mood but are romantic as well. Hope your problems go away soon.

That doesn't sound fun Marietita. Luckily we escaped it this time but I did unplug the phone line to the computer last night. We have lost too many modems with lightening strikes that weren't even bad ones.

We bought a generator several years ago and it has come in handy many times! They are wonderful!!

Marietta,

I am so glad that everything is alright and that you have your power back! I agree that candles are great for ambience but lamp light is nice for everything else:).

Blessings,

Kim
