Using Lovely Finds For Presentation

Have you ever just wanted to feel the youth again and just play... That is exactly what I did the other day... While I was pricing and sorting I had several things stacked atop on another and thought " oh my gosh, that would look so sweet serving cookies".... I had to stop and play at creating without really working at it found that almost everything will stack somehow.... The next time a friend comes for a twist why not give her some personality... It can become as simple as serving some fruit, candy or cookies... I featured my vintage button jar... cake and dessert plates, and a biscuit jar for you just for a example... Glass jars filled with vintage objects with plates and saucers stacked would be awesome.... With very little effort and having fun we can really " stand and deliver." Drawing from our passion to collect we can create a elegance and belief a home should be inviting and full of personality... Doing something special for a friend for me is a real joy... I have the feel of surrounding by meaningful things and put them to work... Stacking is a way of not only showcasing collections but a display of creativity... Most helps us take a walk through time... all adding extras to make you feel you never want to leave your home...

ps. Stacking displays of collections on mantles, shelves or cupboards and tabletops can make a sweet confiserie... Clear glass jars filled and plates atop another... all stating welcome to my timeworn appeal... Oh, how charming....

ps2. I am off to recover my foot stool of many years of age that I use constantly from day to day... I have yet another grain sack to get the job done at a not cost project... Will give you a look on another post.... Windy and chilly here today but the sun is shinning...

ps3.. Enjoy your weekend all. We have a grandson birthday party tonight... I will also be getting to see a fellow blogger who will be attending as she is the sister to the father of the granson... Missy is very talented and offers prims on her blog and many lovely redos to look at... If you would like to pay her a visit and say "hi "her blog is..............http://farmfieldprimitives.blogspot.com

It looks like your playtime resulted in some lovely results. I was reading an article yesterday about the need for adults to play as it stimulates our brains. Thanks for encouraging me to go play today.

You are a woman after my own heart....I play with my stuff more than I actually use it ..but in the process..like yourself...I usually find combinations for a Still Life or some practical use for them.
