Taking For Granted

"People Take Allot Of Things For Granted".

We all are searching for the best of the best it seems... Sometimes the things that give the most pleasure, meaning and purpose to our lives are obvious to everyone but us. So if your wondering where you go from here, a little reintroduction may help you see that your hidden self was plain in sight all along.. If we look at ourselves the way others see us.. this could create inner improvements to ones self...

Oh my, I played allot of golf the last 2 passed days...Somewhat on the slow side today... Labor Day all day with many other couples and yesterday was fun day for ladies golf league....

I may be light on posting as I work my way through more emotions and lack of posting time.. Our time for the next couple days... Thursday and Friday will be spend showing respects... we have lost another one of our best friends.... It has been a week ago since we lost the other... Cancer took both.... Realizing this will be happening more as we age makes us saddened but also makes you want meaning and purpose for the rest of our time.. For myself this is very simple... I need not lavishness, just a touch of pretty and kind words and gestures of friends and family fill my desires for pleasure... I send you all good thoughts and wishes for blessings....

I am so sorry for yet another loss Marietta. Life is so fragile and so short even at the longest isn't it? Will be thinking about you today and in the coming days.
prayers for you.

Your posting is so poignant and so right on, Marietta. It is good to reflect on our lives, our losses, even our little triumphs in life. It is what makes us grow, learn, and just "be" with our own selves. Thank you for reminding me of that in your posting.

Sorry to hear about the loss of two of your friends. As we age, we do learn to appreciate life more. It is a gift that we all too often take for granted.

Have a lovely day ~ FlowerLady

Yes, loss does indeed remind us of what is important in life. The material things mean less and less every year.

"Jesus wept".... a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief....taking time out to be alone with His Father.... and we too feel drawn apart at times to just "be" in His presence, to just listen, to step outside of time and remember to be still, that we are, after all, only children, His children..... and let Him "Daddy" us
