Delicious Decadence

Pic.. Ideal Home UK

A common theme for many larger homes is decorating with ample amounts of glamour... This ranges from fabulous satins in stockings to glimmering baubles arranged in lavish bowls... Adding special touches are all of one's choice. Equally as lovely can be the naturals such as mosses, pine cones and gingerbread's...and such... For myself I love using all of them... Delicious decadence... Your home may have a craving for something more than from your local retail stores... You most likely will find that a antique shop offers something a bit more special.. Intricately cut crystal bowls or special parlor objects... Then fill them with lovely treats from your kitchen... These will all be very special touches that you will not be going next door to view and this is what makes your style just charming not just to you but to others.... Remember glamour is a spirit you can add to any style...

Anyone can add glamour by catching the light... Shown in one of the pics above... Hang several objects from ribbons in the light of a window or in front of a mirror reflecting movement and light... These objects are lovely hanging at different levels... If you don't own glass or silver ornaments then you can always use glass goblets or glasses that are stemmed and hang them at different levels... This can be a quite stunning for the holidays...especially New Years Eve....The other pic offers antique cake servers and a vase filled with baubles and touches of pines and floral... Let this post help with inspiration and let the rest come from your imagination... ENJOY....

Such wonderful inspiration you have shared with us. I love silver for the holidays. In the past I have even purchased old colored ornaments and ran them under water to removed the colored part and it leaves the silver. Love it!!

I am working on my tree today...taking a break..lol

I came by to wish you a very happy thanksgiving....I hope it is the best ever. I love your Christmas baubles. I put my lights outside today, so I feel that I'm ahead with my decorating for once.

I love your header and background! Now I think that is pretty glamorous too! I agree, any number of materials used in holiday decorating can really make a statement! It's all in how you present it! ~Hugs, Patti
