Getting Back To Everyday Life....

Like everyone I am sure I am trying to get my thoughts back on everyday life.. We have one lunch to prepare and spend some time with Tom's kids tomorrow and we can consider our Christmas in past tense... Seems like a big ole pancake when it is on a griddle puffing all up ready to eat and then it just goes flat no matter how hard you try not to let that happen....
We are going to attend the BW's Guys Basketball Tournament tonight at Defiance ... We may have friends over New Years Eve for a steak supper and cards but that is not confirmed yet....
Anyone know how to twitch their nose and all this stuff jump back into their storage boxes????? If so send me the know how... OK so I know how it is going to happen.... It's just getting started..... Somehow now that Christmas has pasted the lights don't seem to twinkle as bright.. I think I may have the bah hum bugs...... Will be giving myself a attitude adjustment... I can feel that a coming... Hope everyone had a very nice Christmas and my wishes for you {and me} are that all your ornaments jump back into their boxes as you have pleasant dreams while sleeping and awaiting New Years......{ it's not fairies that comes for New Years... it's babies... I got a bit confused from all the sugarplums dancing in my head.}

Happy New year Marietta Sweetie...

Do you remember that old commercial of years gone by, where the housewife is cleaning off the table, she just picks up everything in the table cloth and throws it all out? Well I wish Christmas was that simple. We could just gather it all up and throw it all out. Not worry until the next year. If only things weren't so expensive hu?

Other than Bewitched and her little twitching nose I know of no other quick fixes, other than one day at a time.

Have a Happy New Year sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Hey Marietta...wouldn't it be nice if the decorations luanched themselves back in the boxes? Now that the day is over, I just want the decorations down and the house back to its original state...oh well! Work to do tomorrow :)

I'll take a few of those fairies or sugar plums to pack my ornaments while I sleep! Send them on!

Cute post! Have a wonderful New Year!

I had that melancholy kinda mood on the day of. When the kids were smaller, there was much hustle and bustle and lots of festivities. Not so much anymore. Over here, we are not bombarded with the season as in the States and while some may be grateful for that, just a little bit of holiday hoopla would be quite welcome to bring some cheer. :) Now it's over and I'm ready to clean up and clear out and start fresh in the New Year. Wishing you peace, joy and love, Tammy

Well Marietta, we are just going to keep that Christmas feeling in our house for a while (until Epiphany). It's always a bit getting used to, without all of the beautiful ornaments around you I suppose. Hope you will ring out the old in a good way! Ira

I ADORE Christmas....but I am one of "those" chickies... When it's over it's OVER. I want everything un-done and put away. I love to anticipate using it next year....but right now.... I'm ready for SPRING!

Huggies,
Spencer
