Our Journey Ahead

As we start our journey into a New Year, I cannot change what lies ahead, though good or bad, it will be... We cannot stop the hands of time as much as we would like to... Most of today was spent taking down the Christmas Village and getting it into safe storage.. I will find little flakes of mica and little glitter snow for weeks after vacuuming.. Tomorrow I will take down the remaining few objects peeking from different vignettes around my home... The hard part is almost completed... Glass cloches will have glitter trees and holiday trinkets removed and touches of laces and objects that echo Valentines will be added.. Thoughts will be given to favorite loved items to give a bit of eye candy and a different appeal.. All will be achieved by looking in stash or playing musical objects... I am taking the rest of the afternoon off to relax and reflect on the New Year and thoughts of developing a better appreciation of what is important in m life....

Hi Marietta,
I haven't even started taking down my decorations yet as the weekend was spent in Indiana with my sons and their families. Wonderful memories and fun times.
I will be packing up my Christmas this week and hope to get a little more organized in doing it.
Happy New Year and may it bring you many blessings!

I'm glad to have my decorations down. While it does make the house sparse, there's a refreshing cleanliness to it to begin the new year. Enjoy your evening!
