Comfort Of Home

As I peer outside I see the wind are picking up speed and snow that came over the night hours is starting to blow across the fields and roads... Like many others we are awaiting the second wave of the snow storms to set in.. This one is forecast to be much worse and cause some problems... All schools in the surrounding areas and our area are closed and many cancellations are in effect.. Tom and I did travel to Defiance to get out for a bit yesterday.. I purchased a couple bags of Valentines candy to be separated and packed in boxes with the Valentines cards I have been creating for loved ones and a couple friends... I plan on doing more crafting as soon as I post and placing a large kettle of homemade ham..potatoes..rivel and cheese soup on simmer for a couple hours for a warm lunch for our tummies for the next couple days....
I am afraid the waking of the innocence of a warm and gentle breeze may have to wait for a couple months as they are now forecasting a possible blizzard for our area... I hope all may be able to find the safety and warmth of their homes... I tend to worry for others safely when it becomes threatening.. There is only one place to be and that is home.. Home where our rooms are presented with loved surroundings that embrace us and make us feel safe.. Days like the next couple fore casted are perfect for us to indulge in the comfort and beauty we worked and created for ones self... Please take care and be warm and safe...

I hope you stay safe in your home during the nasty weather - the soup sure sounds good. Take care,

Glad you are warm and cozy in your home with soup bubbling on the stove. I just put more logs on the fire and fed the birds. We are suppose to have 10 to 12 inches of snow today with high winds are well. Stay safe and warm.

Hopefully the blizzard hasn't arrived at your doorstep yet Marietta! Tonight we were supposed to be going out as well, but icy roads will be awaiting us so we'll just stay at home. Hope you can get your Valentine's presents ready, they will look wonderful, no doubt :-) Have a great day, Ira

Hi Marietta,
I just heard on the radio (Ft Wayne) that the blizzard warning has been pushed back from 1pm to 5 pm today. They can keep pushing it back and just push it on outta here as far as I am concerned! HA! Wish it were that easy. I am afraid we are in for a doozy!!
Stay safe and warm!
Blessings~

I feel for everyone facing this blizzard! My Dad and family live in Delaware and they are bracing for another one. Delaware isn't exactly equiped for blizzard conditions.
Stay safe and warm in your lovely home.
