Freshly Hatched Ideas

Thoughts on sharing some freshly hatched ideas with you I have been thinking of this morning... The pictures are from http://www.jeannedarcliving.dk/ I am very simple when it comes to Easter decorating.. partly because I no longer have children living at home for many years and partly because in my mind Easter decorating can become overly gaudy and expensive without a charming appeal.. Most seem to use traditional so called decorations...

I was thinking a lovely idea to decorate would be in a religious theme.. After all the whole reason for Easter does have a deep spiritual meaning and would reflect many true feelings... The egg is a symbol of rebirth... A very stunning starter for your theme may be a family bible you already have in your home.. Place on a cloth of choice... maybe a burlap or linen and open the pages... Elevation can be as simple as a couple books to hold the bible up with the cloth covering the mechanics... Printing or in lovely handwriting some of your favorite passage's from the bible or Easter quotes... These could be placed at each setting or made into napkin rings... Let your creativity be your guide...

Of course we will have a egg hunt at our home...To involve the children in the tradition for the true reason for the holiday you can explain that one egg hidden will be empty to depict the empty tomb of Jesus.... The child finding the empty egg will receive a special gift or treat..... Maybe a chocolate cross .....

Having a lack of funds or finds need not mean you can't add some personality to this lovely day with family... Just use things you love and it need not be expensive or overly fussy! Don't forget to have little dishes of candy treats for all young or old ... for all the special people in your family. Using your imagination and embellish in your style will begin your starting point... Best of all , enjoy....

This cannot be a coincidence Marietta, to see your serene religious statues right now. Yesterday the mother of my best friend passed away and today the mother of my sister-in-law, I find comfort in your post, so thank you for that my friend.
