Spring Thought Musings

The weather report denied us what was promised... We do not have 70 degree weather... The sun is not shining ... the skies are grey and the air is chilly... No window washing today as was planned... I will have to continue to dream without exception of working in the gardens... The therapy that takes place when you dig... One can bury a lot of troubles when digging in the dirt... There's much romance to be enjoyed falling in love with your plants. The beauty of the flowers and the food that can be provided for nourishment...

Living in the country provides a somewhat different life than in crowed areas. When you own acres you have a religion of sort to promise to be faithful and care for the land as it offers you bountiful rewards. It 's like a partner... you promise to be good to one another and with these promises come very special rewards..

I did tuck myself in a sweater this morning and venture out of doors to clip some of my hopps vines that have dried over winter months... I brought some in and randomly wove them through a very small white tree that I brought from Christmas storage to decorate simply for Easter at the zero cents I have been trying to achieve... I added a beautiful image with a wreath of thorns to the tree.. It was simply tucked into a existing vignette of a suitcase and vintage items that is in the small entrance of my little cozy nest... Sending you wishes for a blessed weekend as we near our Easter week... Hope you are all planning just something a little special.....

I got out my tools and gloves, ready to get the already big weeds that always grow faster than my flowers. But after a few minutes I realized the gound was just to wet. We are also cloudy, at least our wind isn't blowing. I am so ready for some blue skies.
Hugs, Mary

I'm happily sending rays of sunshine your way Marietta! Over here we're having some lovely temperatures, 23C, which for the Netherlands is quite high, especially for this time of year! We've had some warm Easter times before, this might not be an exception ;-) Take care, all the best, Ira
