Summer Dreaming

Oh ... how sweet is this .... I don't remember laundry being so appealing.....
And the wash tub { these can be purchased new even for a affordable price} and don't forget the old washboard.....
This one is on my list to do.. The little circles is a old muffin pan turned upside down and buried... It is a sweet conversation piece and I love the look and texture.....
And yet... a old kitchen sink mounted on a old aquarium stand and old pump made into a water feature.... Hum... This may have to be on my list also...

Just a little note that I will most likely be back on Monday with a post as I have plans tomorrow to spend the day with my little granddaughter Olivia and my son , Shawn.... Have a lovely weekend..... The skies are grey and it is very hazy but I sit and peer out the window with every desire to have the sun shinning and warmer temps as all my wishing now is to be in outdoor spaces... Always searching for inspiration I wanted to share with you this site that I found the great vintage inspiration for garden areas...

http://gardeningabout.com I am so ready to romance the warmer temps and outdoor spaces... Walking around in my yard and floating around the golf course and dining in my outdoor space... Tom's brother has a large rock pile that has been gathered from working the fields ... Tom loaded the truck with several and hauled them home for use in the hard scape and landscaping we will do after our new in ground pool is built this summer... Gee... I have to do that patience thing for awhile now... Could be August or so but will share as it is happening and completed... Our decision to replace our 35 year old in ground pool was made last year as we do not do the California or Florida dreaming as many do..but rather we find our real contentment and happiness is found in our own little amount of acres.. Our wishes are not to take on any more maintenance work but to keep it clean and simple... There will not be all the lavishness of large homes and extreme pool areas but just a charming area to cool down and relax and enjoy the heat of summertime and to share with friends and family... We have learned to appreciate the simpler offerings in life. Impulse spending and wants beyond ones needs does not create happiness ad contentment in the end.. Staying within one's means does... Learning to treasure thinks is a great quality to have... Of course in all this inspiration I will have to find a way to get just a touch of the past into the the area by keeping my eyes alert at sales and shops the next couple months... Would also welcome some ideas or thoughts or findings by all of you... as you certainly know my loves and passion by now... I am off to do a few chores that seem to be giving me the stare down... Blessings and best wishes for a lovely weekend....

Hi Mariette

I must admit that I am having a terrible time trying to read the written words with that background. Maybe it is just my eyes but it all blurs together. Has anyone else mentioned this?

I did enjoy all the pictures as usual.

Hugs
