Choices

Many years have taught me many things... One of the biggest lessons I have learned is the act of kindness...and consideration for others feelings... Placing "Labels" on others can be very harmful and hurtful...
In retirement it is so wonderful to live a extremely quiet life in the country. In so called real life, I actually talk very little, read and write allot... enjoying it very much... These are my little treasures and moments I allow myself...
Remembering today you can give more by building people up than you can by tearing them down... You gain, oh so much, for yourself and others by a word of kindness... whether it be a friend or a stranger... It is truly amazing what one person can do... kindness in your face.. kindness in your eyes.. kindness in your smile and most of all kindness in your actions......

Such a beautiful post and so very true precious Marietta ~ we don't know what another person is going through and a small amount of kindness may lighten their load...hugs and love, Dawn

It is actually so very very easy to say something nice to someone, even to strangers. If only we would all open up our hearts a bit more, then the world would look a whole lot different. Even the sturdiest of people cannot resist a smile. Happy Valentine to you and your loved ones, this is going to be an extra special day for us, since my MIL will be 90 that day! All the best, Ira

Well said. I too don't talk a lot, but write and read more.

Marietta, Your post is so true. Kind words are so welcome when you are a child. I try to remember to say please and thank you , even to clerks at the store. Some times, they have a tough job, dealing with the public. Smiles to all of you very kind people, Susie
