Christmas Jam and Candy Canes

Don't boil yourself in the Christmas Jam of unwise spending and special cram... Preserve your fruit with the spiritual things and the lasting joy of the holiday season..... author unknown
Over three hundred years ago, candy makers made straight hard candy. White tasty sticks sticks of candy. Over the years this candy evolved into what we know as candy canes, Legend has it that the shape of the cane was changes to represent the letter "J" which stands for Jesus. The red and the white stripes said to represent the blood and purity of the sinless nature of Jesus.

What a neat post and beautiful photo Marietta! Love it all. Did you get filled up with turkey? We are going to my moms tomorrow after church for our family Thanksgiving. I can't wait because I love turkey and haven't had any yet.
